After playing with a similar set at a STEM day I had to get these for my daughter. Lots of different things to do and has been fun for my 6 and 9 year olds as well as some 30 somethings. Highly recommend for a screen alternative “game†that will make you use your brain.
I have had this product on my wish list for my now 8 year old nephew for the last couple of years. For the price I feel ripped off. They provide ample dough and LED bulbs, but very little in the way of other items. The tools are plastic and cheap too. My nephew was bored pretty quickly. We do science experiments on a regular basis. I have spent far less and provided him with more learning than this product can deliver. For $80 they could provide more items to experiment with. You can make your own dough and LED lights are cheap. I would avoid this product all together. I wish I could send it back, but we opened one container of dough.
We bought this squishy circuit set for my child this Christmas. My kids liked it so much they were unhappy sharing it. I bought a second set for my daughter. It comes with small projects that the kids can do themselves. We also bought the snap circuits but it does not lend itself to creativity as the squishy circuits do. Snap circuits do have more advance circuitry but requires more parental help. I would like for squishy circuits to offer more advanced options. But I like that my kids like to play with it and try new ideas without me making them do it.
Nice product.
Building circuits with my niece was lots of fun and the variety of electronic components was interesting. My only complaint is that the white insulating dough came packaged hard and dry. I tried adding some water, but it just crumbled like sand. Other colors worked perfectly out of the box.
