Circuit Kits for Kids
Build real circuits with conductive play dough. Push in an LED or buzzer, connect the battery holder, and your creation lights up and beeps. Start with the Lite or Standard Kit, add motion with the Deluxe Kit, or try solar and wind power with the Green Engineering Kit. Teaching a class? The Group Kit runs 10 stations and the Group+ Kit runs 12.

Questions about the kits
Which kit should I start with?
For a first circuit, the Lite Kit. For light and sound with 3 project guides, the Standard Kit, our best seller. The Deluxe Kit adds a motor with fan, a switch, two buzzers and 8 big tubs of dough. For older kids and middle school science, the Green Engineering Kit adds a solar panel, wind turbine and energy storage, with a 44-page guidebook.
What ages are the kits for?
Recommended for ages 8 and up. Younger children can use them with adult supervision. The kits contain small parts, so keep them away from children under 3.
Can two kids share one kit?
Yes. The dough and parts go a long way, but each builder needs their own battery holder. Add a Lite Kit to any bigger kit for a second battery holder, 15 more LEDs and another tub of dough.
Are batteries included?
No. Each battery holder takes 4 AA batteries. The Group+ Kits use USB Power Hubs instead, so they need no batteries.
Do I need soldering or a breadboard?
No. Conductive dough carries electricity like a wire, so you build circuits by pushing parts into the dough. The white insulating dough keeps pieces apart.
Which kit is best for a classroom?
The Group Kit runs 10 stations. Students work alone or in pairs, or in threes for a class of up to 30. Dough is sold separately, so add 2 Dough Kits or the Group+ Refill Kit. The Group+ Kit runs 12 stations on USB Power Hubs, includes dough and needs no AA batteries. Schools can request a quote or pay with a purchase order.
Does the dough dry out?
Keep the colored conductive dough sealed in its tub when you finish, or it dries out. The white insulating dough does not dry out. The dough is non-toxic but contains wheat. Restock with a Dough Kit.
