How it works
Shape the dough
Colored dough is conductive: it carries electricity like a wire. White dough is insulating: it keeps the pieces apart.
Connect the battery holder
Push the battery holder's two leads into two pieces of conductive dough. It takes 4 AA batteries.
Add lights, buzzers or motors
Bridge the two pieces with an LED, long leg on the red-wire side, and it lights up. Swap in a buzzer to make it beep, or a motor to make it spin.

I teach a unit on electricity and circuits. Squishy Circuits is the perfect product to help my students put the theories into practice. And they have so much fun while gaining a deep understanding the laws of electricity!
These were well used in my 5th grade science class. Excellent way to experiment with different types of circuits and the basics of conductors and insulators.
Our granddaughter of eight loved this gift. Her eleven year old brother wished he had received it.
Questions
What ages is it for?
Recommended for ages 8 and up, and younger children with adult supervision. The kits contain small parts, so keep them away from children under 3.
Are batteries included?
No. Each battery holder takes 4 AA batteries. The Group+ Kits use USB Power Hubs instead, so they need no batteries.
What's in the Standard Kit?
A battery holder (4 AA batteries, not included), 25 LEDs in 5 colors, a buzzer, 3 tubs of conductive dough, 1 tub of white insulating dough, 3 project guides and a storage case.
Is the dough safe? Does it dry out?
The dough is non-toxic, and the kits are tested to the ASTM F963-23 toy safety standard. It contains wheat (gluten). Keep the colored dough sealed in its tub when you finish, or it dries out. The white insulating dough does not dry out. Restock with a Dough Kit.
Where does it ship from?
Orders ship from Minnesota within 3 business days.
Can my school pay with a purchase order?
Yes. We accept purchase orders and net 30, and tax-exempt orders are welcome. Request a quote and we reply within one business day, or submit a PO.
